About The Artist!

Born and raised on the East Side of Cleveland, I had the good fortune of living down the street from my amazing grandparents. I spent a great deal of time tagging along side my grandma who had the most wonderful hobbies of painting, cross-stitch, crocheting and shopping…and I credit her for my most favorite hobbies which include the joy of paint and "the thrill of the hunt" shopping!

My big life adventure began with my journey out west to attend Arizona State University. It is there that I majored in communication, astounded that I could actually get a degree doing what I love best; interacting with people! After graduation, I took my first position in California, as a personnel director. Eventually, I made the life choice to return to Cleveland, Ohio and it is here that I spent the next several years working in sales as a key account manager.

My husband and I started our family, and I knew that I wanted to be able to be active in the lives of our beautiful children. It is from that desire that Kate & Bud’s Closet originated; a business born from the inspiration of my adorable little ones and the aspiration to use that creative energy that has always been a huge part of my life.

I feel quite blessed to have followed my heart and to have been able to draw from the imaginative world within me! My kids have grown and I still find myself doing what I love most…creating fun and whimsical clothing that has become the fabric of so many of my customers' lives!
